Jago Hartland has become the first Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity (formerly Above & Beyond) Ambassador.

He met the Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity team at the Bristol Royal Infirmary, where he has received treatment for cystic fibrosis since he was 14.

Since 2015, Jago has been raising £1,000 each year for a different charity, and in 2018 he took part in our flagship event, the Bristol to Paris Cycle Challenge, along with more than 50 others.

He said: "It's one of the proudest days of my life - I am so excited to be the first Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity Ambassador.

"Out of all the charities I have worked with and supported, the Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity team have always been extremely welcoming and supportive. It's a real honour to see where the charity funds have been spent and utilised.

"I will be posting events and fundraisers which people can get involved in and opportunities for others to challenge themselves! Come along to a talk, a ball, cake sale or anything else - adventure begins when you #sayyesmore!"
