Our impact Our impact Yoga sessions for NHS staff Thanks to your generous support, NHS staff at Bristol NHS Foundation Trust have been able to take part in workplace yoga sessions to support their wellbeing. These free sessions offer a valuable opportunity to move, unwind and recharge, whether before or after a shift. Over the past four years, the programme has benefited more than 3,000 members of staff. the positive impact the sessions have had: "I only started attending the sessions in the last couple of months. Yoga had never particularly appealed to me in the past, but I am a complete covert. I have less back and neck ache, my posture is better, I feel stronger and calmer, and, best of all, on Tuesday nights after the session, I actually sleep right through the night, which is a rare and wonderful thing," said an NHS consultant. Another participant shared: It provides the opportunity to unwind at the end of the working day, in a friendly, welcoming and social environment with a mix of colleagues. I feel like I’m doing something positive for my physical and mental health. The workplace yoga classes were originally set up by Katie Bray of KatieBrayYoga to support staff wellbeing. From April 2026, the sessions will now be led by Matthew, a yoga teacher and NHS staff member, who is continuing the programme for his colleagues at Bristol NHS Foundation Trust. To find out more, follow Matthew on Instagram @MatthewJYoga or email [email protected] to book a session. With your support, we can continue supporting the little things that make a big difference to patients, their families and the NHS staff who care for them. Make a donation Manage Cookie Preferences
