BHOC radiotherapy’s Louise Smith and Kathleen Nash from Ward A300 won the top two prizes in Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity’s Christmas Raffle.

Louise was the winner of a baking session with GBBO’s Briony, while Kathleen was the lucky winner of the £1,000 cash prize.

Kathleen said: “I was delighted to win the top prize in the Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity raffle and I was not expecting it at all! I’ve invested some of the money and the rest really helped with Christmas. I want to say a big thank you to everyone at the charity!”

Louise said: “I'm pleased I was able to support the charity through purchasing raffle tickets and it's definitely a bonus to have won this prize!

“When I bought my raffle tickets, I reserved my friend's kitchen, in jest over pre-Christmas drinks, "just in case" - I never imagined I would be calling her to confirm that reservation!

"I'm really excited to be meeting Briony. I love Bake Off and had kept everything crossed for her success last year."
