“The services funded by Deloitte Bristol’s fundraising have been an enormous support for our family at a very hard time in our lives.”

Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity and Deloitte’s Bristol office are unlocking education and building future skills for thousands of children in hospital.

A team from Deloitte Bristol took part in Bath HalfChildren in Bristol Children’s Hospital used to receive one hour of face to face learning a day before our partnership with Deloitte Bristol started in 2022. Since then, the Deloitte Bristol team have raised more than £128,000 to deliver additional learning for patients at Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, including taking part in the Big Abseils, the Great Bristol Run, the Jurassic Coast Challenge and much more.

This has delivered hours of additional teaching sessions for patients, ensuring they have access to drama, music, singing, science, technology, engineering, and mathematics. In addition to the teaching sessions, Deloitte’s staff members come in and volunteer with patients on a weekly basis.

To date, more than 1,000 young people have benefited from the sessions with Deloitte volunteers or sessions made possible with Deloitte funding.

Deloitte’s Bristol office have voted for their next three-year charity partnership and Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity was chosen with overwhelming support for a second three-year cycle. The extension of the existing partnership shows Deloitte’s commitment to children’s education in the community.
