We are happy to announce that Katie Walker has been appointed our next Chief Executive and will start in the role from 1st April when Paul Kearney retires.

Katie has been a senior leader within Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity since 2019 and is currently our Director of Fundraising & Marketing. 

In those five years she has led some transformative initiatives for the charity, been an expert in income growth and a calm presence in challenging moments, nurtured team talent and overseen some life-changing appeals for our hospitals. Our supporters and ultimately, our patients, are front and centre in every decision she makes.

She not only shines with us, but with all of our University Hospitals Bristol and Weston NHS Foundation Trust colleagues to make sure our partnership thrives with our local NHS.
