31st July 2024

Last Monday, 22nd July, we welcomed actors Sarah Parish and James Murray on a visit to St Michael's Hospital.

The Murray Parish Trust has generously fully-funded the improvements to the mortuary space at St Michael’s Hospital, to be known as the Rosemary Room, as part of our Snowdrop Appeal. This includes light boxes, softening the room and making it warmer, a soft cot so parents can spend extra time with their baby and a Bluetooth radio so parents will be able to play their own music or soothing sounds.

Sarah Parish said:
We understand the profound impact that a thoughtfully designed environment can have on grieving families. By supporting the Snowdrop Appeal and the creation of the Rosemary Room, we hope to provide a place of comfort and solace during an incredibly difficult time. It is our honour to contribute to a space that will offer families the dignity and compassion they deserve.
You can support the Snowdrop Appeal and help bereaved families make positive memories to remember with their baby. The time these families have together is traumatically short and, with your help, we can help these families be surrounded by environments of love and hope.
