Buddy and Tilda childrens book by Cats Clawson

Buddy is a big friendly dog who can be bouncy and noisy, which can seem scary to some people.

Tilda is a kind girl who wants to play and spend time with Buddy but needs some help knowing the best way to do this.

This book aims, in a fun way, to highlight the best way for young children (and adults) to interact safely with our favourite four-legged furry friends.

All profits from the sale of this book will be split equally between Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity in support of Bristol Royal Hospital for Children, and Hope Rescue, who took in the real life Buddy as a puppy.

UHBW staff member Cats Clawson has written a book to raise money for Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity. Author and UHBW Cats Clawson with dog, Buddy

The children’s surgery network manager has written a book about her dog Buddy to encourage dog safety with friends and family members. She said: “The idea of publishing a children’s picture book to promote positive and safe dog and child interactions has been bumping around in my head for quite a while.

“My own personal journey of owning a large, lively mixed breed dog with an extended family who aren’t familiar with dogs has played a large part in how the book developed.”

The book is now available on Amazon and the profits will be split between Bristol & Weston Hospitals Charity and Hope Rescue, the South Wales dog rescue charity who rescued Buddy in 2021.
