Whether you’re a walker and new to challenge events, an experienced trekker, a marathon enthusiast upping the distance, or a seasoned ultra runner  – there’s an Ultra Challenge for you!

A great opener to the Ultra Challenge season! Centred on this elegant historic city, take on a 50km ultra, a testing 29km, or a sharp 10km challenge at your pace. From the Bath Racecourse basecamp 2,000 adventurers will head out on looped routes around and through Bath, with fantastic panoramic views, past the famous Royal Crescent, along the River Avon and taking in many of the city’s sights and sounds and the surrounding countryside. You’ll get full support all the way, and a celebration finish back at basecamp. It’s a great way to kick off the season, and start to get in shape!

Walk, jog or run as an individual or a team, and help do great things for your Bristol and Weston hospitals.

FAQs

BWHC Logo sunburst icon How much does it cost to take part?

There are a number of different registration options - ranging from £20 - £139.

BWHC Logo sunburst icon How much do I need to fundraise?

Depending on if you sign up for a charity place or self-fund, the fundraising target varies. Check the website for more details.

BWHC Logo sunburst icon Can I sign a team up to take part?

Of course! You can create or join a team via the sign up page.

BWHC Logo sunburst icon Do I have to be an expert to take part?

There’s no denying it – this challenge is tough so will require some training and determination.

You will need to prepare well and should read the training advice. The more comfortable you are with walking or running long distances for sustained periods, the more comfortable you will be on the challenge itself.

A training plan is in the participant’s area of the website and we recommend organising regular training walks or runs to get your fitness levels up.
